Roger Brown remembers Merlin Olsen
By
Merlins Olsen, part of the fearsome foursome of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams who went on to become a famous TV star in the shows Little House on the Prairie and Father Murphy, died today of a rare form of cancer often related to exposure to asbestos. Mr. Olsen, earned a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame, because of his time along side Deacon Jones, Lamar Lunday and Rosey Grier on the Rams defensive line in the 1960’s.Rosey Grier was eventually replaced by a right tackle by the name of Roger Brown. Mr. Brown, now owns a well known resturant in downtown Portsmouth, he will be attending Merlin Olson’s funeral, he told us he got the news this morning.
