		<description>You would have to make sure that you were not in the active phase anymore.  So you would need to take a blood test for EBV IgM and IgG to make sure that you no longer had any IgM (an indicator of activity).  Someone else said 6 months, but it is possible you could still be in the active phase for more than 6 months so a blood test would need to be done to confirm you&#039;re in the convalescent phase.  As long as you have no IgM you should be fine to give blood.
